Meet the Doctor

Nicole Bonner, D.C.

Dr. Nicole Bonner has been serving the Southern Ocean County community for the past 14 years.  She is dedicated to sharing the knowledge, commitment and passion that she has with every man, woman and child, to help families reach their greatest health yet!  She has committed her life's work to helping others in need because as a child she was very ill and knows firsthand what it's like to be spending more money and more time on medication to only be getting sicker and sicker.

As a child, Dr Bonner suffered with severe sinus and allergy problems that developed into asthma. At a very young age Dr Bonner was taking several dangerous medications which led to even more health problems.  The medication only weakened her system leading to weeks of steroids and antibiotics at a time over the course of her childhood and adolescent years.

It wasn't until she was a teenager that Dr Bonner found the secret to good health and still lives her life by that today.  Disgusted, frustrated and afraid, Dr Nicole's parents reluctantly took her to a chiropractor on a recommendation from a family friend.  What happened next was almost miraculous!  Within a short period of time, Dr Nicole started to regain her health.  The sinus and allergy problems began to dissipate over just a few months and the asthma disappeared completely.  So, after completing the pre-med program at Seton Hall University, she declined her acceptance into medical school and started her chiropractic degree at Parker University in Dallas Texas.  The rest is history!

After 16 years in practice, Dr Bonner knows that the most important patient is the one that is sitting in front of her.  She is a true giver and healer!

A Little More About Dr. Bonner From A Recent Interview
1. My name is Dr. Nicole Bonner. I grew up in Toms River and was a premed major at Seton Hall University. Although I had the opportunity to become a medical doctor, I chose to become a Doctor of Chiropractic instead because of its tremendous impact it had on my own health. Growing up, I was a very ill child and teenager. Regular chiropractic care has been a lifestyle choice for me since I have been 16 years old. It helped me turn my health around as a teenager and reach my health and fitness goals as an adult.
2. My husband and I moved to Manahawkin 20 years ago! We loved everything about Stafford! We love LBI, going to the beach, the small town vibe, and we knew we wanted to start a family in a town with a great school system. We now have two boys who attend Southern, one is an athlete and one a musician! I've been in practice here since 2002!!
3. Healing Hands is a vitalistic wellness center. The foundation of the practice is Advanced Spinal Correction. This type of chiropractic care is very different and unique compared to most other practices. Our doctors have advanced certifications in post graduate coursework in spinal correction. So that means that all of our doctors have a four year undergrad degree in science and biology, a four year doctorate in chiropractic and several years of coursework in spinal biomechanics. We also provide our practice members with nutritional support, weight lose, massage, laser therapy and rehabilitative exercises.
4. The thing I love most about serving our community is our patients become like family. In fact, we don't even call our clients patients. We call them practice members or members of our chiropractic family, since most of our practice members have been with us for decades!!
5. I would love to do a piece sometime on lifestyle chiropractic if you are open to it.
